Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Happy Saturday morning all! I thought I'd check in real quick before we start our day :) So, Thursday afternoon at about 3:30, my step mom calls and says they are about three hours out. Out the door we go, because it's about a three hour drive from here to Davenport where we were going to meet them to pick up my little sis. We get to the restaurant we had already planned on meeting at, and the entire time we're eating Kim (my step mom) and I are trying to talk my dad into just coming to our house and staying, as it would be much cheaper than going to a hotel. And guess what?? HE CAVED!!!!! So, as soon as we were done eating, we all turn around and head back to Des Moines.

By the time we got home, it was almost 11pm, and we still had to go to WalMart to get soda and a few things for breakfast. And of course we had to sit and visit for awhile before bed. It was nearly 1am before the adults went to bed. My hubby had been up for 24 hours straight, as he worked nights all week, and stayed up to mow the lawn before we had to leave Thursday.

Everyone was up and ready to go by 10 am yesterday morning. Dad and Kim went to the casino (won $50 and left, LOL), and we went on to Adventureland (a theme park here in town) with the kids. WE HAD A BLAST!!! Besides the usual rides, they just opened a water park there with all kinds of slides and stuff. Sooooo cool! We told Ryan we'd come back and spend the day just at the water park, as he was disappointed when it was time to go. He's my little water baby :)

After that, we came home and got cleaned up, then went out for dinner. Well, there's this Good Guys car show at the fair grounds this weekend. Which is beautiful older cars referbished. As we're sitting at the table eating, Ryan is rubber-necking REAL bad to see all the cars driving by. And that's when Ed decided that we're going to go to the car show today.

So, the plan for today is: Farmer's Market first thing, then Good Guys, then go see the new Twilight movie Eclipse, and finally to take Abby (my little sis) to the mall.

Oh, and on the Bosley side of things, he slept all night with Ryan and Abby up in Ryan's bed! First time he's had run of the house all night long, and he did really well! See, we had the bottom of the steps blocked off with my box of crochet stuff and a laundry hamper, so Bosley couldn't run on the carpet at will, if you know what I mean. Well, little Sir Bosley can now JUMP OVER THE BOX!!! So, he might as well be able to go upstairs :) I'm so proud he did well!

Ok, I guess I'd better get my tushy in gear. We have a lot to do today! Hope everyone is having as good of a weekend as we are! Cavalier Hugs!!!
