Evening all! We're counting down the days until my dad and the rest of his crew get here. We're all running around trying to get everything done that needs done, and poor Bosley doesn't know what's going on! He lay on the floor by us while we sat at the table for dinner, and he never does that. He's usually either asleep in his kennel or on the couch when we eat. I think he missed us, even though we were here, we were just busy.
I've been reading up on what to do if you decide to breed your dogs. This is something Ed and I would love to do. We're going to try to get a female from Gina T. next year that's not related at all to Bosley. I'm excited already! I realize both of them should be at least 2 years of age, and I'm planning on starting Bosley's training in a few weeks with the Des Moines Obedience Club. Then I'd like to get him certified as a therapy dog, and take him to children's hospitals and nursing homes. I think Bosley would personally enjoy that most of all. Any time he sees little ones he tries his hardest to get them to notice him. Our granddaughter is 4, our nieces are 10 & 4, and our little neighbor girl is 6. He loves getting attention from all of them. He doesn't really jump up on them, and of course never barks or growls. He is just a little charmer!
If anyone else can think of anything else that we should do for him, please let me know. I welcome any and all advice. Bosley is the first dog I've ever had that wasn't "just a dog". :) Cavalier Hugs!
