Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Hello, everyone! Sorry, I haven't had time to do much blogging :P But I'm about to make up for it now, LOL! Vacation was ..... well, HOT!!! My hubby has this passion for the Iowa State Fair that I just don't have, but I've learned that in this relationship, it's best to suffer just a tad and reap the rewards that come later! Besides the blazing sun and scorching heat, there were some good points. We took Ryan to his first concert; Pat Benetar and REO Speedwagon (which was a total blast!), took… Continue

I Can Bring Home The Bacon, Fry It Up In A Pan.....

What a hectic week, and it's only Tuesday! After almost 8 years of working part time and/or staying home with Ryan, I forgot what it's like to work a 40+ hour work week! I have no idea how Ed's daughter worked a full-time job, a part-time job, was a full-time student and had a 7 year old! Chrysta, if you ever read this, my hat's off to you, girl! I'm having a H. E. double hocky sticks of a time just trying to find time to go to the grocery and do laundry,…

Ahhh, bedtime.

My husband doesn't understand why I stay up late. The puppies have had their last outing and are in their nighttime pen. The adults have had a bit of excitement to end their day when Dad let them outside their fenced yard to the big yard where a possum dared pay a visit. They loudly told him he had better move on out. Glad the elderly neighbors are hard of hearing because it was quite a ruckus they kicked up at 11:00 + pm. Now the entire household has gone off to dream. The house is quiet and I… Continue

Dem Bones Dem Bones

Ok, this one is short and sweet :) I made a ham steak for Ed and I for breakfast, and Bosley got the bone. He has been gnawing on this thing for like 2 hours now, LOL! They sell like whole ham bones (like you would get in a spiral ham for Thanksgiving) at the pet store. I'm thinking we ought to get him one, he's having such a time with this one :P I mean, he's all sprawled out on the footstool, most of the time over Ed's leg, just gnawing away! Eyes closed and everything! I…

You Light Up My Life

Okay, okay, so I guess my little blog here is in high demand (hiya, Mrs. H, you know who you are :). Well, this week has been pretty hectic; new job, getting Ryan ready to start school, and still all the house and mom stuff. I will say, my wonderful hubby has helped A TON this week. Even though Monday and Wednesday nights I started dinner before I went to work in the crock pot, he put the final touches on everything. And Tuesday night he cooked out on the grill. Tonight is…

A Whole New World!!

My heart feels so, so warm- it hasn't been easy to feel happy these past months, so when I find myself smiling, now, it feels strange and wonderful. Joy, anticipation, and nervousness- competing for status in my mind, and I've still got six weeks before my family gets one member bigger :).

It became increasingly clear, over the past year, almost, that things were going downhill. My life changed so much, and it wasn't for the better. I lost my friends, one by one, finally having my… Continue

Mr. Independant

Hiya, everyone! I know it's been a few days, so as I don't have to go in to work until later, I thought I'd wright a bit :)

Bosley is doing wonderfully! Potty training seems to be getting easier. I don't know if it's because we know his habbits now, or what, but we seem to be having fewer and fewer accidents.

I think our little baby is getting more independant, also. Since we let him have run of the house (with the…
