Found this site via Google and like to see likeminded Cavalier owners
We have 4 Cavaliers - all 4 colours now with our latest edition Seren in Feb 2009
We are not breeders but allowed 2 of our Cavs to mate which produced 8 puppies in 2009
We set up a Website to show them to prospective purchasers
http://www.cavalierpups.co.uk
and this proved to be very worthwhile

Hello Cavalier Lovers!
Just wanted everyone to know that I have my Cavalier website up and running. It is by NO means exactly how I want it, but it is a start. Everyone take a look and give me your feedback on how I can make it better or more user friendly. I will graciously accept all constructive criticism. CavaliersOnCaldwell.com Thanks!

I am amazed that there can be such a diff in the cavs sizes. I have two, one is 11 lbs. and fits all of the akc standards. My other is full grown now at 27 lbs. Why so many differences in sizes?

I have been told many different things--what does AKC consider to be the appropriate age for a male to breed or stud out, and the same for a female, at what age is good to breed your Cavalier?

I was noticing that my cavalier doesn't have a long coat like most of the others I have seen in public and on the internet. Does that mean anything? He is the first dog I have ever had, his name is guess :) Charlie. I know but he likes it. Anyway, we got him from Amanna Iowa near where we use to live they were the only breaders nearby with any available. He is soo much fun, doesn't like water but loves fishing strange, I will post a video of how excited he gets and all the noises he makes when h…

Hi Cavalier Friends!!

But there's a dog (Stephen Colbert...yeah, another famous name) catching up to me really fast!! Last week, I came in second out of over 46,000 dogs!!!! If I win, my mom and I are donating my winnings to some amazing organizations including CAVALIER RESCUE USA and the Louisiana SPCA.
There have been a few news articles about me, and I'll attach the lates…

I am adding a third baby to our family. I am getting a beautiful bleinheim girl from Lucky Star Rescue. She is very timid and I am told afraid of almost everything. Hopefully, my other two and a lot of loving care will bring her out of her shell.
Her name is Shasta! I will put her pic on my page.

Thanks for your input...I've already scoured the Cavalier Health Network for info and deaf dogs site, too. What I really need are additional hand signals, if anyone can contribute that.

My 6 year old cavvy is becoming quite deaf (he 'alerts' to only certain high frequencies). I'm trying to teach him ASL and have read Living With A Deaf Dog by Susan Cope Becker. She gives some great advice but I'm struggling with signs for 'go potty', 'leave it', 'free','cookie', anyone out there have deaf dogs and signs I could use to help with communicating to Oliver? Thanks

This morning i was shoping for food. I had already crossed the busy street when I saw the little brown and white dog running along the street. I thought to myself no I cant take it home , I turned away only to hear a few mins later a yelp. The dog had been hit the driver drove off. I ran across the street pulling the dog out of the road it was alive but hurt. I gentaly picked up the dog and approched a police officer who was doing a traffic stop. As I posted earlier, my sweet tri-boy was killed by a neighbors dog about 2 months ago....well, I have decided to get another little boy and he will be ready about the 3rd week of March. I can't wait to cuddle the little guy. My only dilemma is What should I name him? Our family can't seem to come up with something we can all agree on. Any suggestions out there? Thanks Lori

From time to time I get asked what members can do on this site. I think the best description of the site is that it is a communications community, a virtual Cavalier convention. In addition there are sub communities (Group) that allow communication within a targeted group of members. Here are some key features:
* Private Mail - the site messaging feature lets you send private messages to other members. It is like using email without the need for email addresses.
* Post, Share & Ask - share…

Wally got a 3 point major in Abilene in January 09 and a 4 point major in Chicago on Saturday, Feb 21. Plus he as 2 other points, he is well on his way to his Championship. His Mom is one of my home bred champions, so he is very very special to me.

Madyson is obsessed with FOOD! I have baby locks on the pantry doors. She has had her stomach pumped twice for inhaling food so fast, I couldn't get it away from her which was granola bars laced with raisins and 2 lbs. of yogurt almonds. She jumped up on the counter to get the almonds (to my surprise) and opened the pantry to get the granola bars. I have her on a diet with supplementing green beans and pumpkin! Help. Does anyone have this same problem. I do give her limited treats of those dried…
