Hi Susan, I know exactly what you mean, regarding the furry, white matting. I find I wash her paws frequently! I bought the booties at a boutique in my village. They look like little Adidas! She has no trouble walking in them. I can't remember the manufacturer. However, I have "balloons," made especially for paws, which work just as well, and they come in different sizes and colors. I bought them at Pet Supplies Plus, a local pet store, but have found them in other pet stores. I love them, because they're completely waterproof! You will want to take Sadie with you to fit them. Marley has a packet of red, size small. They come 12 to a pack, and are disposable. I've used the same pair several times! They cost around $14.00, and are well worth the price! Check into this. They look very stylish, with her red fleece, but warmth and protection is the key! As with her booties, these enable her to run around easily.
