Good Morning, everyone! I've been kind of busy lately, but I know that's no excuse :) Things are well here in Iowa. Bosley seems to be growing more and more. All About Me :)

I live in Des Moines, Iowa with my husband Ed and my 12 year-old son Ryan. We have a one year old kitty named Nala who is queen of the castle, and of course Bosley. I'm 35 years young, but my hubby is a bit older than me at 51; and due to that, I have one step-son and two step-daughters that have blessed us with 4 beautiful grand children :)
Bosley is the first "blue blood" dog I've ever owned. I grew up in a farming community where all our dogs were outside dogs and pretty much mutts, lol. We plan on getting a little girl Cavalier next spring, though. And I can't wait! State law is that you can only have 4 dogs, and I'd love to!
My favorite things to do are spend time with my family, cook, read and watch movies. We love to have everyone over for cookouts; Ed is a self-proclaimed grill expert. I have a habit of clipping recipes out of everything and using my family as guinea pigs. I used to be able to read about a book every couple of days, but as most of you know, life is too hectic any more. I'm lucky if I can read a book a month! We stay in a lot, and due to that we have a collection of DVD's you wouldn't believe! The last time I counted them, we were well over 3000! And most of those are horror,lol!
I'm hoping to meet lots of new friends here that can help me as I go along with Sir Bosley. I'm sure I'll have questions! Everyone that I've met here so far is soooo nice! I'm so glad I found this site as I was just surfing along :)

Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Hello, everyone! Sorry, I haven't had time to do much blogging :P But I'm about to make up for it now, LOL! Vacation was ..... well, HOT!!! What a hectic week, and it's only Tuesday! After almost 8 years of working part time and/or staying home with Ryan, I forgot what it's like to work a 40+ hour work week! Dem Bones Dem Bones

Ok, this one is short and sweet :) I made a ham steak for Ed and I for breakfast, and Bosley got the bone. He has been gnawing on this thing for like 2 hours now, LOL! They sell like whole ham bones (like you would get in a spiral ham for Thanksgiving) at the pet store. I'm thinking we ought to get him one, he's having such a time with this one :P I mean, he's all sprawled out on the footstool, most of the time over Ed's leg, just gnawing away! Gina says hello and sends her love, she says she thinks of you often but she has been dealing with some crazy peeps and they are keeping her busy ( as if she is not busy enough). Puppies are great one was drinking out of Addy's water bowl and then falling asleep in it so I decided I should take the water bowl out of her play yard and away from them, however it was quit funny to watch. How is work this week and how is school for Ryan? I had to tell our obedience instructor to stuff it as she decided to yell at poor little Regan and we only do positive reinforcement so yelling does not work for me, I don't yell at my kids and I will be darned if some obedience instructor is going to do so... I have since found other classes and we are starting them on Tuesday. How is Bosley? I am taking my sisters dog to the vet in the morning as he has a lump under his front right leg I am hoping it is nothing as she is going with me and he is her baby, say a prayer for us.
