shadow chasing

HI my cav Bridget is an avid shadow chaser, sometimes its just a matter of repeating a pattern (back and forth, circles, zig zags) its like she is doing the poopy sniffy run but just keeps going. She seems to do it more if she has been crated or not walked enough. Like if I have to be gone all day and she is kept in the crate, she will do it more so when I get home.. unlike when she is out all day, she stops by about 11am. but any excitement her way of handling it is to start racing around. it seemed to start after the lazer light incident. i have read that there is a connect there.

Also she has mild clogged tear ducks and is on antibotic drops to see if that will clear it up if not she will need to have them flushed.. but the longer on the drops the less she seems to race around too.. could the infection/inflamtion be bothering her smell and making her a tad "crazy"? any ideas?

Permalink Reply by Beverly Sterling on May 30, 2009 at 8:12pm: well as far as the tear ducks go, i took her into the vet and got her on antibotic drops that cleared up most of the infection. dr says i will end up having to have her ducks flushed (which isnt' too bad $80 total) so that willcome in time. I do notice that Bridget is not nearly as bad if she is out of her crate from 630 am to 10pm.. she settles down v3ery well now we went to the petco grand opening in town today and she was VERY mellow the ENTIRE 3 hours we were there! (we stood in line for photos, then in line again for a character drawing thingy where they drew her picture) along with everything else they had going on there!
