How old is your Cavalier?

My Freddie and Lucy are both 4 and a half, and I'm hoping to add 10 more years to them, that would be great. I asked a top breeder the other day, "When do you know it's the right time to put your dog down?" I presumed when they stopped wagging their tails, as Cavvies always do. But she said even when she held her dog whilst putting him to sleep, he still managed a tail wag for her. She said it is their eyes you tell by. So will have to wait and see.

My little guy Cody (Blenheim) is almost 4 years old and my tri-color boy Theo just turned 11.  Not sure that my last r eply made it onto the website (tech-challenged) but we had to say good-bye to sweet Maggie (Black and Tan) when she was 15 years 6 months old.  It was the final kindness we could do for her.
